Prince Street is the new monthly variety show by, for and about people who love food. With special guests, profiles, interviews, field reports, cooking and comedy, our team of award-winning journalists, actors and writers explore the ever-changing world of what we eat, what we cook, and the surprising ways food is life.
Named after Dean & DeLuca’s current and original SoHo locations, both along Manhattan’s Prince Street, our podcast goes beyond the landmark store, and its nearly 40-year history in New York City, to share compelling stories with food at their heart. We’ll be touching upon contemporary culture—food, film, art, fashion, business, music, design and more—to find common threads between them and what we eat.
Each of the 12 episodes in our first season will feature stories organized around a theme we can all relate to, in cooking and in life.
Episode one is all about Preparation. Episode 2: Risk. Episode 3: Craving. Episode 4: Rule Breaking. Episode 5: Anxiety. Episode 6: Fullness. Future episodes will focus on Triumph, Failure, Secrets, Table Setting, Community and Clean Up.
Editor-in-chief Howie Kahn, a James Beard Award-winning journalist oversees the 40-minute show along with writer and producer Elisabeth Robinson.
